Definitions

Anonymous information is information about how you use the Thorlux web site, the time of day the site was visited and other non-personal information. Anonymous information is not tied to any visitor but helps us know what our users do - such as which pages are the most popular.

Collecting and Using Personal Information

You can visit the Thorlux web site without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself to us. It is only when you request specific information or fill in the download form that you wil be asked to provide Thorlux with personal information.

When you request information you need to complete certain fields. For example, we ask for your name, address and e-mail address.

Thorlux use this information in several ways

  • To mail printed catalogues only if requested
  • To enable our own representatives to contact you
  • To e-mail confirmation of the user name and password
  • We may occasionally forward this information to other F.W. Thorpe Plc group companies when we feel that this would be a benefit to yourselves. For example if you request information on lighting products that we (Thorlux Lighting) do not manufacture but for instance Sugg Lighting or Compact Lighting (members of the F.W. Thorpe Plc group) do.

Thorlux collect anonymous information, such as which pages have been visited, what sort of browser has been used and the length of time that visitors stay on the Thorlux web site. This is in no way connected to any personal information you supply.

Thorlux use this information to continually review the web site and maintain the high standard of service that you expect.
