Living Spaces for Individuals
The modern approach for patient accommodation is to provide single rooms with en-suite bathrooms opposed to multi-bed wards. Single bedrooms allow patients space for personal everyday living and sleeping. General lighting and reading lighting should be provided and aim to create a domestic/hotel feel. The luminaires should be robust and classified as ligature-resistant as staff may not be present. Manual control with dimming can enhance the domestic ambiance by providing user control over their environment. The ECO-Touch : LR can be used to provide pre-set dimming levels plus manual override from outside the bedroom.
