Tricor is a leading supplier of packaging materials for industry and the automotive sector, with 17 locations across Europe. At its new plant in Goch, Tricor processes 140,000 tonnes of heavy corrugated cardboard annually using state-of-the-art machines.
Tricor wanted durable, efficient lighting products that fit with its ambitious sustainability goals. Thorlux Lighting Germany was commissioned to plan and supply the complete lighting system, covering a total area of 170,000 square metres.
Just over 1,000 Visio and almost 550 Thoroproof luminaires were installed in several halls and two high-bay warehouses. Each luminaire is wirelessly connected to the SmartScan lighting management system, so the entire factory lighting installation is controlled and monitored via the secure SmartScan web platform.
The new Tricor plant complies with strict German low-energy standards for new buildings and is highly efficient. In addition to the smart lighting system, the factory has a photovoltaic power system and a combined heat and power plant.
